The common way of operating today is still manual testing a few times a day with a drop-test kit, logging by hand, then estimating how much chemical to dose. This approach is labor-intensive and fragmented and slow to react: between two readings, the water can already have dropped in pH, run low on chlorine, or bloomed with microbes without anyone knowing.

The consequences are real: cloudy water, algae, a harsh chlorine smell, stinging eyes and itchy skin for swimmers, even risk of infection when chlorine falls below the safe threshold. Overdosing, on the other hand, is wasteful and corrodes equipment. Dedicated sensors — measuring pH, chlorine (ORP) & temperature

Every good decision starts with good data. iNut connects dedicated probes for pool water: a pH electrode tracking the acid-base balance, an ORP sensor reflecting the actual disinfecting power of the chlorine, and a water temperature sensor. Signals come in over the industrial Modbus RS485 standard, read continuously in real time instead of a few drop-tests a day.

Wireless connectivity — data flows in, no cable runs

The plant room, the balance tank and the poolside are often far apart, and running signal cable is both costly and prone to interference. The iNut RS485 / WiFi Mesh module gathers sensor signals and transmits them wirelessly to the central gateway; nodes automatically form a mesh network around the pool area, and can run on solar power for outdoor measurement points. Install once, and the data keeps coming in on its own.

Automatic chemical dosing & threshold-based circulation

This is the part that turns monitoring into real operation. Set the thresholds once: pH out of range → a metering pump for acid/alkali doses the exact amount then shuts off; ORP too low → a chlorine dosing pump tops it up until the target is reached; stagnant water → the circulation pump / filter valve kicks in automatically. iNut PC at the edge layer runs all of this threshold logic locally, even offline, keeping the water within the safe range without anyone standing by to dose it by hand.

Instant alerts via Email & Telegram

When chlorine drops below the safe threshold, pH spikes, temperature goes out of range, or a dosing tank runs empty, iNut PC sends an alert immediately via Email and Telegram to the person in charge — with the exact readings and timestamp. Technical staff don't need to stand by the pool to know exactly what's happening, and can act before an issue affects swimmers. As long as there's 4G coverage, the alert gets through.
