Measurement — purpose-built sensors for generators

Every correct alert starts with correct data. iNut captures all the vital parameters of a generator set: fuel level in the tank, coolant temperature, lubricating oil pressure, three-phase voltage – current – frequency, starter battery voltage, and runtime hours to schedule maintenance. Wireless connectivity & edge gateway

Generators are often located in basements, on rooftops, in containers, or at remote sites — running signal cables back to the control room is both costly and prone to interference. iNut RS485 / WiFi Mesh transmits data wirelessly, automatically relaying through multiple nodes to cover the entire premises, and can run on solar power for outdoor installations. At the edge layer, iNut PC aggregates data from every genset, runs logic locally and uplinks over 4G to the cloud — so monitoring still works where only mobile signal is available.

Automatic threshold-based control

Monitoring doesn't stop at "watching": iNut also takes action when readings hit a threshold. If coolant temperature climbs, it switches on the cooling fan/pump; if oil pressure drops below threshold or the engine over-revs, it issues an emergency stop to protect the machine; if grid power fails, it triggers a relay for the ATS transfer switch to start the genset. Every threshold is set once in the app, and the system automatically runs the measure – compare – control loop without anyone on duty.

Generator failures are measured in minutes. iNut PC monitors continuously and pushes alerts the instant a threshold is exceeded: fuel running low, temperature over limit, low oil pressure, phase loss, overload, or a weak starter battery that could prevent the engine from starting. Messages go straight to the on-duty staff's Email and Telegram, complete with the value and timestamp — no one needs to watch a screen all night, yet issues are still caught before they escalate.

The entire genset fits neatly on one screen: iNut Platform (self-operating cloud) builds a SCADA dashboard showing fuel level, temperature, voltage – current – frequency, run/stop status, and historical charts to spot trends. On the go, the iNut app alone lets you view readings, change thresholds, and switch equipment on/off remotely. When integration with an existing operating system is needed, iNut OPC exposes data in OPC UA/Modbus/XML-DA standards for the plant's SCADA/MES.
