Pipelines are the "bloodstream" of every water-supply, irrigation, wastewater-treatment or production system — yet most are still monitored by reading meters on-site, logging by hand, and periodic patrols. This approach is fragmented and always a step behind: a pressure drop in the middle of the night, a silent leak, or a pump running dry is usually only discovered once the damage is already visible — wasted water, a burnt-out pump, flooding, or an entire line shut down.

Measurement — pressure & flow in real time

Every correct operating decision starts with correct data. iNut pairs with pressure sensors (4–20mA, 0–10V or RS485/Modbus output) and flow sensors (electromagnetic, ultrasonic, turbine, pulse-type mechanical) to measure continuously: instantaneous pressure, instantaneous flow and cumulative flow. Data is sampled at regular intervals, timestamped and consolidated in one place — instead of walking to each meter to read the numbers.

Wireless connectivity — full pipeline coverage, no cabling

Pipelines often stretch across pump stations, valve pits, fields or treatment areas — places where running signal cables is expensive and prone to failure. iNut RS485 / WiFi Mesh solves this: each measuring point is a node, and nodes self-chain to extend coverage, relaying data back to the gateway and up to the cloud. Automatic control — valves & pumps running on thresholds

Once you can measure it, let the system act on its own. Set the thresholds once: pressure exceeds the limit → relief valve opens automatically, pump load is reduced; pressure drops or the water level runs low → pump stops to prevent dry-running; once enough flow has been delivered, the valve closes. iNut outputs relay/valve/inverter signals right at the measuring point — a closed control loop, with no need to wait for an operator. Need to connect to an existing SCADA/PLC system? iNut OPC communicates via OPC UA, Modbus and XML-DA.

Instant alerts — catch leaks & pressure drops early

Anomalies in a pipeline are often silent: pressure gradually dropping, flow suddenly deviating, or pressure hitting zero in the middle of the night. iNut monitors continuously, and whenever a threshold is exceeded or a pattern deviates, iNut PC instantly pushes an alert via Email/Telegram together with the measuring point and value — even at locations with only 4G coverage. Comparing inlet and outlet flow also helps pinpoint leak zones, so they can be handled promptly before losses grow large.
