Accurate level measurement — choosing the right sensor for each tank
There's no single sensor that "fits every tank." iNut pairs the right type to each environment: radar / ultrasonic for non-contact measurement from the tank top (suited to chemical tanks, wastewater, silos), hydrostatic (water-column pressure) submersible sensors for underground reservoirs, or float – capacitive for small tanks. Everything is converted into one standard signal via iNut RS485, reading level in percentage and liters, accurate down to the centimeter.
Wireless transmission — wherever the tank is, the data gets there
Tanks are usually scattered: on a rooftop, at the back of a warehouse, out at a pump station, or in the middle of a field. Running signal cables back to a control room is both costly and difficult. iNut RS485 combined with WiFi Mesh lets stations relay signals to each other, covering long distances without cable infrastructure; for truly remote sites, iNut PC collects the data and uplinks over 4G to the center. Automatic threshold control — overflow & dry-run protection
This is the most valuable part. Set two thresholds once: when the level reaches high (H) → iNut turns off the feed pump / closes the inlet valve to prevent overflow; when it drops to low (L) → it turns on the makeup pump / opens the valve and blocks dry-running to protect the pump. iNut PC at the edge layer runs this exact logic loop locally, independent of the network — if the Internet goes down, the tank is still protected.

Automation only brings peace of mind when someone actually gets notified. When the level crosses a threshold, an abnormal leak occurs (level dropping fast), or a pump fails, iNut PC instantly sends alerts via Email and Telegram with the tank name, current level, and timestamp. The person on duty gets the message within seconds and can act before it becomes an incident — instead of finding a flooded floor the next morning.
Realtime monitoring — SCADA dashboard & the iNut app
