Swiftlet farming lives or dies by the microclimate: swiftlets only settle in to nest when the temperature stays around 27–29 °C, humidity sits at 85–95%, light stays dim, and the air carries no trace of ammonia. Wireless connectivity — covering every chamber, every floor

Swiftlet houses are typically multi-storey, with thick walls and enclosed chambers — running signal cable everywhere is both costly and prone to failure. With iNut RS485 and WiFi Mesh, each sensor node automatically pairs with its neighbor, and data "hops" through multiple relays back to the gateway without any long cable runs. Need to add a sensor on the top floor or in the flight chamber? Just attach another node and the network extends itself.

Automatic threshold-based misting & ventilation

This is the heart of the smart swiftlet house. Set thresholds once: humidity drops below the target level → the misting machine turns on automatically to add moisture; once humidity is sufficient, it switches off. Temperature or ammonia rises too high → the ventilation fan runs automatically to cool the air and push out the odor. The iNut Muro microclimate-control solution already does exactly this for mushroom houses — the same model carries straight over to the nesting chamber, where humidity and temperature must likewise stay within a narrow band.

Calling sound — the right time, the right zone

The calling sound is the swiftlet house's "invitation." iNut lets you schedule the outdoor speaker, flight speaker, and indoor speaker on/off by time slot and adjust volume remotely — turn on the outdoor speaker at dawn to call the colony in, then switch to the indoor speaker in the evening to keep the birds settled. Paired with an AI camera, owners can even estimate the density of birds coming and going, to see which zones are drawing them in and which need the sound or lighting adjusted.

The whole swiftlet house fits in your phone: view temperature and humidity for every chamber, change thresholds, and switch misting or speakers on/off remotely through the iNut app. At the edge layer, iNut PC collects the data, runs the control logic, and pushes alerts via Email/Telegram the instant the microclimate goes out of range or power fails — even where the swiftlet house only has 4G coverage. All historical data is stored on iNut Datalogger and visualized on the SCADA dashboard of iNut Platform (self-hosted cloud).
