iNut OPC — Industrial OPC Server Software: Bringing Every Protocol Together
iNut OPC is industrial OPC Server software running on a Windows PC: it gathers data from Modbus, MQTT… and simultaneously serves OPC UA (4840), Modbus TCP (5020) and OPC XML-DA (8895). Includes an OPC UA Browser, real-time diagnostics, Excel/JSON export and secure FTP/FTPS file sync.

A typical factory is packed with all kinds of devices: PLCs speaking Modbus RTU/TCP, sensors pushing MQTT, digital meters that differ from brand to brand. Meanwhile SCADA, MES or the production operating system want to read data through one common standard — usually OPC. Without a "translation station" in the middle, integration turns into a tangle of wires and patchwork code.
iNut OPC sits exactly at that junction: a gateway software running on a PC, collecting from every protocol below and emitting the OPC standard above — so the rest of the system only has to "speak one language".
All connections in one project
A familiar tree-style interface: each channel is a data source (Modbus TCP, MQTT bridge, simulator…), with devices and tags underneath. Add/edit quickly, filter by name/address, and import – export Excel/JSON to duplicate configurations across machines in just seconds.

Mapping tags to OPC in just a few clicks
Declare each tag once — Modbus address, data type, scan cycle — and iNut OPC automatically exposes it as a standard OPC node. For example, the Temperature tag (Modbus 40001, INT16, 1000ms scan) instantly appears at MODBUS TCP.PLC 1.Temperature with its value and "Good" quality.

Three servers running in parallel
From the same data set, iNut OPC simultaneously serves three interfaces: OPC UA (port 4840), Modbus TCP Server (port 5020) and OPC XML-DA (port 8895). Whatever SCADA a customer uses, it can connect — no lock-in to a single standard. The Diagnostics screen shows the status of each server, client count and live tag values.

OPC UA Browser — check right inside the software
No external tools needed: enter the endpoint opc.tcp://…:4840 and click Connect to browse the server's entire address space, inspecting nodes and values. Very handy for on-site acceptance testing before handing off to SCADA.

FTP File Transfer — secure sync & backup
iNut OPC ships with a two-way FTP/FTPS file transfer mechanism to automatically back up and synchronize projects/data between the machine at the factory and the central server. The core is designed "safety first": Ed25519-signed manifests against tampering, atomic file writes with SHA-256 checks, hot SQLite backups that don't disrupt the running database, bandwidth limiting and an audit security-check engine.

Already running in real factories
iNut OPC isn't a paper demo: the software is already running 24/7 at multiple factories, including the Pá Chiến and Mường Hung hydropower plants — where stability and fault recovery are mission-critical requirements.

Why choose iNut OPC?
Gathers Modbus, MQTT… and emits OPC UA/Modbus/XML-DA — cutting out patchwork integration code.
OPC UA Browser & real-time diagnostics let you check instantly, no external tools needed.
Two-way FTP sync with signing, hash checking, atomic writes and hot backups — no worries about loss or corruption.
Running 24/7 at real factories, with clear per-machine licensing cost.
Amid a jungle of protocols, you need one gateway
Every device brand has its own standard, yet the production operating system just wants one common voice. iNut OPC quietly builds that bridge — turning the chaos below into a clean, standardized, trustworthy data stream above.
